Fallfest's Harvest

Gotlandic Picture-Stone Border Featuring Interlaced Birds

At 6:30 PM this September 24th , Barhelm and I walked into the Bosque on the mighty Rio Grande river once again, ready to hail the Wanes at Fallfest. A light breeze was blowing, but the weather was still very hot and muggy so near to the river. We walked down our usual western path and into the most beautiful golden sunset. The light shimmering off of the river illuminated the scene, gilding the trees and making the scene a wonder of glittering might. We found one of our usual spots and began the right. Well were the Wanes hailed, and so too the ancestors, landwights, and all holy powers. After the blot was concluded, we began to walk out of the Bosque. Just as we turned to the main path, Matthew, one of our other hall members, walked in on us swearing that w had said something about meeting after 7:00. We stopped to let Matthew do his hails, and he did a rousing hail and offered u p not only libation, but grain to the Gods and wights, rounding out our Fallfest nicely.
Anyone interested in attending our next Blot, or just meeting the group in Albuquerque, should feel free to contact me.
